Prerequisite: Placement test and ulpan level Bet This course is designed specifically for those planning to work as lawyers in Israel and who need to pass the mandatory test "B'china B'Dinei Yisrael." In order to enroll in this course, you must have completed level Bet or the equivalent. Legal Hebrew will prepare you for the exam as you will learn essential legal terms and syntax. In this course we will deal with materials at advanced levels of Gimmel, Dalet and Hay. This course is also available to those interested in enhancing their professional vocabulary in the legal field. At the end of the course, students will take a final exam to test their knowledge. A Bet level of Hebrew is required in order to enroll, as this course involves reading, writing, and speaking skills that Aleph-level students do not yet possess. Students will receive a written grade based on their work in the class and on the test. If you live overseas or simply feel comfortable learning from home, you can join the Legal Hebrew Online course where the same level of Hebrew is taught just through Zoom. This course also runs over 10 weeks, and in no time you will have immersed yourself in the Hebrew language. *Online courses are held through the Zoom app and include a workbook specially developed by Aviv Bertele and access to a vocabulary app tailored to your class level.
