Israeli Elections: Online Meeting

Confused by the Israeli election system? Not sure what parties are running or what they actually stand for? Want to understand your options as a voter, and learn the Hebrew terms you need to follow it all? This is exactly why I am hosting a special online meeting together with UAB alumna Phoebe Bruce, a PhD candidate researching Israeli politics at Tel Aviv University. What is the plan? A 90-minute Zoom meeting on September 14th, from 19:00 to 20:30 (Israel time). All UAB alumni and their friends are welcome to join. Part One: I, Aviv Bertele, owner and founder of UAB, will speak in simple Hebrew. We will introduce and learn basic Hebrew words used during elections. Part Two: The heart of the meeting! Phoebe will give a clear, objective overview in English of the Israeli political landscape - the main parties, what they represent, and the options voters have. No spin, no agenda - just straightforward information to help you make sense of the ballot. She will also explain how the voting system itself works and answer any questions you have. This meeting is completely free and open to all UAB alumni and their friends. However, if you register, you must attend and keep your camera turned on so we can see who understands and who is still confused. We look forward to seeing you, Aviv, Phoebe, and the UAB team
