Service Description

Prerequisite: B2 or placement test The B3 Course is designed to help people who have completed some or all of level B2, and wish to improve their speaking, reading, writing and grammar skills. The course will improve your mastery of verbs in all tenses. It will be an introduction to the causative form of verbs as well as additional passive verbs. This course will also enrich your vocabulary through discussions about current events while engaging with your fellow students on the dilemmas facing Israeli society today (such as LGBTQ rights in Israel and MIA soldiers). We'll also learn about the notable Israeli figures: the Israeli spy Eli Cohen and Miriam Peretz, a bereaved mother to a fallen Israeli soldier. We will also watch a short movie about homosexuality in the IDF. During the last week of the course, students will be required to take a test in order to qualify for the next level, G1 and continue their Hebrew studies. They will be graded on their oral and written work and based on their in-class effort and on the test. If you live overseas or simply feel comfortable learning from home, you can join the B3 course where the same level of Hebrew is taught just through Zoom. This course also runs over 10 weeks, and in no time you will have immersed yourself in the Hebrew language. *Online courses are held through the Zoom app and include a workbook specially developed by Aviv Bertele and access to a vocabulary app tailored to your class level.
