Prerequisite: Interview with Aviv Bertele This course is aimed at students who have already finished level Gimmel (and above) and wish to read their first book in Hebrew. In this course we will be reading "Bein Haverim", a novel written by Amos Oz. Eight interconnected stories, set in the fictitious Kibbutz Yekhat, draw masterly profiles of idealistic men and women enduring personal hardships in the shadow of one of the greatest collective dreams of the twentieth century. The course includes reading parts of the book together and the rest at home as well as class discussions on various themes in the book. This course is held at our comfortable and inviting Tel Aviv ulpan and includes the book read in the course.
