Bringing it Up a Notch
Prerequisite: Aleph or placement test
This course is aimed towards students who have already studied the Hebrew basics in an Ulpan for a few weeks (Aleph) and are looking to improve their speaking skills as well as their reading and writing. The main goal of this course is to build confidence so that students are able to use Hebrew outside of the classroom and engage in conversations with native Hebrew speakers in Israel.
The course will also introduce students to the past tense, new prepositions (ל, של), new travel-related vocabulary, words for the shuk (market), fruits and vegetables, as well as grammar, syntax, and a variety of linguistic structures. Additionally, the class will incorporate practice conversations to aid students in navigating day-to-day interactions in Israel.
During the last week of the course, students will be required to take a test in order to qualify for the next level, Advanced Aleph and continue their Hebrew studies. They will be graded on their oral and written work and based on their in-class effort and on the test. This class is limited to 8-12 students.
If you feel that a more concentrated course with more frequent classes suits your needs, you can join one of our Intensive courses, this summer, taught in a more compact time frame. These run over two weeks, where you will have daily classes to immerse yourself in the language.
*All courses are held at our comfortable and inviting Tel Aviv ulpan, and include a workbook specially developed by Aviv Bertele and access to a vocabulary app tailored to your class level.
